Nordmarka Forest Marathon (Nordmarka Skogsmaraton) in Oslo was founded in 1994, and is one of the most popular marathon races in Norway. Run through the beautiful forested and hilly Nordmarka, a major recreational area both for inhabitants and visitors of Oslo. Since 2021, we had three distances on the programme, Half Marathon, Full Marathon and Ultra 63,3 km. All distances will qualify for UTMB points

Starting times:

Ultra race – 63.3km: 08:30 am

Marathon:  9.30 a.m.

Half Marathon: 10.30 a.m.

Time limit:

We do not have any strict time limit. if it is evident that a runner cannot complete in a sensible manner, he or she will be taken out of the race

Start/finish area:

Sognsvann Snøpark, few meters from Lyn Klubbhus, Olav M. Troviks vei 13, 0864 Oslo (Map).

15 minutes’ travel time with Metro Line 5 from the city centre of Oslo to Kringsjå station. It takes about 10 min. to walk from the Metro station (Kringsjå/line 5) to the start of the race. There will be marked and easy to find.

Bips and Startnumbers

You can collect your startnumber on Thursday og Friday evening, before the race, at the sports store «Bull Ski & Kajakk» at Majorstuen in Oslo. We will be here between 16-18pm on Friday and 13-16pm Saturday. There is an electronic Bip in the startnumber.

You can also collect the startnumber/Bip at the racingday, on the arena. Please be aware of that you will need some extra time for this. MAP to the start/finish arena, Kringsjå.

The Ultra racers first runs the Full Marathon and then the Half Marathon.

Stay in Oslo

There are several hotels in the town. Any hotel in the city will have easy access to the start by the metro. The closest hotel i Thon Hotel, Ullevål Stadion. This is on the Metro/Line 5 and is a few stops from the start and finish of the race.
